The Blissful Rays of Divine on Mathura Travel

Being inspired by Lord Krishna, I dedicated myself to devotion of the God. This made me go on exploring places related to Lord Krishna. Once my friend Janipher who planned her India tour in near future suggested me to accompany her for Mathura travel. I jumped at it and simply uttered, “Needn't ask for good deeds” and started preparing for the same.
Shri Krishna Janam Bhoomi

I met Janipher in Delhi and accompanied her at 5:30 and immediately we left for the birth place of Lord Krishna
. After 4 hours journey without taking a halt, we touched the ground of Mathura. The holy city of Mathura lies 145 km from Delhi. Though we just wanted to explore the city but to refresh ourselves we booked our sojourn at a Dharamshala at Mathura. Once done with bath and then breakfast, we left to explore Mathura temples. There were many temples but we opted the famous ones. Dwarkadheesh Temple was the first one where we went.

Situated near the sacred river Yamuna, Dwarkadheesh Temple speaks volume of its unique architectural style. This holy abode of Lord Krishna is among the most revered shrines in Mathura.

Imposing structural design and stunning paintings combined with wonderful carvings just leave you mesmerised. The beautifully designed idol of Lord Krishna soaks you in devotion. The temple also depicts the pictures of Radha and other Gods.

Built by the Birla group, Gita Mandir Temple was the next attraction in Mathura, we visited. It is acclaimed across the world for its Bhagavad Gita inscription on the walls. The exquisite carvings and paintings grabbed our attention for few minutes.

Shri Krishna’s Janam Bhoomi was next on our Mathura visit. The temple holds great importance among visitors as it lies on the birthplace of Lord Krishna. This religious spot in Mathura also shares its wall with the Jami Masjid. How could I miss out “Mathura ke Pede” ( a famous sweet) and got it packed just to enjoy after the tour ends.

Banke Bihari Temple
After that blissful experience at Lord Krishna Temples, we left for Vrindavan. People of this holy city also seem immersing in the devotion of Lord Krishna. Another city with abundance of temples Radha Vallabh temple was simply amazing. We had to follow a long queue of devotees for Darshan.

Finally, we succeeded and then headed to Banke-Bihari Temple. Another amazing temple of Lord Krishna that enabled us to forget all the worldly worries for some time and all we could think of Lord Sri Krishna. Madan Mohan temple was the last one on our visit to Vrindavan. Jennipher seem contented with the trip and so was I. We left for Delhi with the echo of the chantings of “Hare Krishna.”

Treat Your Eyes with Wildlife and Adventure with Sariska National Park

Let me begin this unforgettable experience of my visit to Jaipur with the mention of the 'Pink City'. This wonderful state of Rajasthan truly epitomizes the vibrant colors of the royal state.

Visit Sariskas

Well, it was my surprising visit to Jaipur with my cousin, Shadrick who had a wish to visit India. Based on our mutual consent, we decided to explore Rajasthan. Choosing this tour package from a variety of India Tours, he got exhilarated.

Shadrick is a great wildlife lover and so am I. So, we decided to visit Sariska National Park. From Delhi, we reached Jaipur by air. After making ourselves comfy at Sariska Palace, we were all set to encounter the wildlife species.

Shadrick could not resist sharing his excitement to see tigers with me. Soon, we found our destination- Sariska National Park. It lies around 110 km from Jaipur and is situated in Alwar. While we were seeking entry in the park, we were asked to show our ID proofs. After completing the formalities, we entered.

On that very moment, we realized that apart from the wildlife species, the park had so much to be witnessed and discovered. Though taking an excursion first to the park was Shadrick's decision, yet I did not have to regret on it.

The guide who accompanied us on our India tour, told us that the Park is larger than other Project Tiger Parks in India. Covering an area of around 850 sq km, it was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1958 and later declared a national park in 1979. Now the park is a part of Project Tiger Scheme.

We embarked on a jeep safari on this Wildlife Tour because this was the best way to view the wildlife as well as for wildlife photography within the sanctuary as well.

Sariska has varied topography encompassing grasslands, cliffs, rock landscape and dry deciduous forests. Moreover, I was surprised to watch that the Aravalli mountain ranges enveloped the park, covering with dense forests. As we moved ahead, we could come across the sights of langurs, nilgais and a variety of birds. There were many other places of historical interest, surrounding the park.

After some time, we got a chance to see Leopard, Civets Hyena, Wild Dog, Jackal and Jungle Cat. I could not hold back my excitement and shared it with Shadrick, who was still waiting for the sight of tigers. Amongst the birds, we could spot different birds like Peafowl, Spur fowl, Jungle fowl and the Grey partridge. While Shadrick was busy in closely watching the wildlife, I was not missing any picture that can be shot at that moment.

We were eagerly waiting to see the tiger and the guide told us that we had to wait with patience as it should not have disturb them. Green pigeon, Crested serpent eagle and the great Indian horned owl were other birds, we could come across.

To my surprise, we could spot the tigers at last. My cousin was almost elated to see the tigers. I also participated in his joyful mood by clicking the most-awaited site of tiger.

Sariska Neelkanth Templess

Fascinated by a memorable stay at a popular wildlife resort in India, we were delighted throughout the tour. We wanted to explore more. On being contacted our guide, we got to know some other nearby popular places. We decided to go and reached The Kanakwari Fort. Holding sheer historic importance, this was built years ago.

Another wonderful place, we visited was Neelkanth Temples, located within the sanctuary. It offered us a different experience by visiting these temples, which refreshed our mood and the tiredness that we had that time.

We loved the jungle safari, which we started from the entrance of the park. Though the safari concluded, yet we were not able to come out of the playful mood.

Day3: Golden Triangle Tour With Khajuraho

After exploring the Mughal city Agra and its world famous Taj Mahal we reached the heritage village Khajuraho.
Khajuraho Tour
This internationally renowned town is famous for its erotic sculptures carved out of stones on the outer walls of the temples. We reached there in the early morning and were booked in 'The Lalit Temple View Khajuraho' hotel, one of the most famous five-star hotels of this culturally rich town. Our hotel was located only at a distance of 200 m from the Khajuraho temples. Khajuraho is a World Heritage Site which is a must-visit destination of incredible India.

After refreshing ourselves and gorging on delicious breakfast we headed to the temples of Khajuraho. This is a small village full of greenery so we decided to walk down to the temples enjoying the pleasant weather and the beauty of lush greenery. Our guide Shankar told us that these Hindu and Jain temples were constructed between 9th to 11th century. There are several legends attached to these temples and the erotic sculptures carved on them. Initially there were 85 temples in total but now over the centuries only 20 have been restored. All the existing temples have been divided into 3 groups: Eastern group of temples, Western group of temples and Southern group of temples.

We saw all the three groups of temples and were really amazed at their architectural beauty. The Western group of temples are the most fascinating among all. The temples are located amidst lush green gardens which adds more charm to them. Here the sculptures reflect eroticism draped in beauty. After witnessing the arresting beauty of the sculptures and enjoying listening to the stories behind them we went to the nearby Raneh waterfall which is located only 20 km from Khajuraho town. It is a breathtaking waterfall famous for its 5 km long, 100 ft deep canyon of crystalline granite in varying shades of color ranging from red and grey to pink. It started raining when we reached the waterfall which made it look simply wondrous.

In the evening we reached Shilpgram, a government run cultural center located in the heart of Khajurao. The shop inside its complex sells varieties of tribal handicrafts which are extremely beautiful. After buying some wonderful handicrafts we went inside the auditorium of Shilpgram to enjoy folk dances of different states. My Japanese friends were elated and after seeing the various dance forms said 'what a wonderful culture India has'. The dance performances were awesome. This marked the end of our Golden Triangle Tour with Khajuraho. My Japanese friends said that they are taking back home some golden memories of India which they will remember for long.
